The Climate Change agenda places new obligations on local authorities and presents both opportunities and pitfalls.

This joint event organised by Environmental Protection UK and UKELA's climate change working party explores the issues from a legal and local authority perspective. Chaired by Andrew Wiseman, head of the environmental law team at Stephenson Harwood and a trustee of both EP-UK and UKELA.
Registration from 4.30pm, drinks and nibbles afterwards.

Peter Harrison QC practises in the fields of public, planning and environmental law. He acts for developers and planning authorities and both prosecutes and defends in regulatory crime.
Liz Loughran, Atkins, who has worked extensively with local authorities formerly as a lawyer and now as a town planner
