Fundraising - Ways to get involved

UKELA is a Registered Charity (299498). Most of our funding comes from membership subscriptions and events income. We are also hugely fortunate to have corporate sponsorship, in particular for our annual conference and other events, including in kind such as facilities donated free of charge. We are also fortunate to have a band of committed volunteers, without whom we would not be able to function.

But there is always more to be done and that's where you might be able to help. Take a look at ways you can become involved below. Thank you.

The main opportunity for sponsorship is at our Annual Conferences. Our 2021 conference is being planned now, details coming later in the year. If you are interested in sponsoring any aspect of our Annual Conference, please contact us.

Fundraising Events

We hold a number of fundraising events each year - with something for everyone! Try our regular Fundraising Lunch with a handpicked after lunch speaker or join our Recyclists for the annual cycle ride in the run up to Conference.

Fundraising Lunch

Hosted by a top law firm in the City, our regular Fundraising Lunch is a highlight. In 2018 we were delighted to be at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP for a pre-Christmas lunch, where our speaker was our distinguished Patron, Baroness Barbara Young. Her inspiring address was a perfect end to a convivial lunch.

For many years, an intrepid band of cyclists made up of lawyers, barristers, consultants and students have, under the banner name of the Recyclists, cycled their way to the annual conference to raise funds for our organisation and have fun along the way. Newcomers are warmly welcomed - please get in touch.

Make a Donation

If you are able to spare a contribution, we would make very good use of it. Find out more on our donation page. Thank you.
