UK Environmental Law Association welcomes new role for Chair
The UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA) is delighted to congratulate its Chair, Kirsty Schneeberger MBE, on her new role. Kirsty has been appointed CEO of Synchronicity Earth, taking over at the beginning of December. Kirsty moves there from ClientEarth where she was Head of Strategic Partnerships.
Kirsty has been a member of UKELA for over 10 years, joining as a student member. She became a Trustee in 2011 and was Vice Chair for 2 years before becoming Chair in June 2019.
Of her new role, Kirsty says: “I’m really excited to be joining Synchronicity Earth at a time when the science is clear on the vital importance of biodiversity in our world. I’m really looking forward to being in a role that provides funding to support projects and organisations that are doing such good work for biodiversity and species conservation. Synchronicity Earth is playing a really important role in supporting work and activities that are aligned with its mission of a world where all life is valued and flourishing.”
UKELA is the leading membership organisation for anyone interested in environmental law. Our aim is to improve understanding and awareness of environmental law - to make better law for the environment. Synchronicity Earth’s mission is to act to address overlooked and underfunded conservation challenges for globally threatened species and ecosystems.
