Young UKELA social - guided walking tour

Come and explore London's environment with us on this free event.

The Environment of London

Join us on a short wander from Temple to Trafalgar Square exploring Central London’s environment and how it has changed over hundreds, thousands and millions of years. From flood risk to climate change we’ll consider the many challenges threatening this densely populated city today. We’ll find out about the infrastructure – from tunnels to trees – designed to manage those risks and to protect Londoners from harm. And we’ll hear about the crises, court cases and reforms that have spearheaded improvements.

The walk is devised and led by Rosie Oliver, founder of Dotmaker Tours. Rosie has a background as an environmental lawyer in government. She worked as UKELA’s policy and law advisor for many years.

Meet 11am at Temple tube station

Finish 1pm at Trafalgar Square

This event is FREE to join and is aimed exclusively at those in the early part of their career - up to 7 years post qualified. Please let us know via the question when booking, if you would be interested in joining a light lunch/drink after the walk. This would be self funded.

To book your place, please log in or register and follow the prompts. Do not set up a new account if you have already opened one with us.  Places are strictly limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We look forward to seeing you there.
