Wales Working Party seminar: Environmental Governance in Wales

The Wales Working Party has held various events in the past few years considering the arrangement in Wales for environmental governance post EU exit. Now that the UK has exited the EU this webinar will provide an important update to members in Wales and other interested parties on the interim arrangements and future plans for environmental governance in Wales.
We have 2 expert speakers:
Professor Robert Lee is the Director of the Centre for Legal Education and Research at the University of Birmingham. He has acted as specialist adviser to the European Parliament, the European Commission, the House of Commons and Senedd Cymru. He also chaired the Welsh Government’s stakeholder group on Environmental Principles and Governance in Wales Post European Union Exit and his report on the latest consultation in this regard can be found on the Welsh Government website.
Dr Victoria Jenkins is an Associate Professor at the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law, Swansea University. In 2016, Victoria published a paper for UKELA on Brexit and Environmental Law in Wales. She has presented on this subject to a wide range of organisations, most recently at the Legal Wales Conference in October 2020. She also sat on an expert panel considering this issue before the Senedd and was awarded a Fellowship by this institution to carry out research into issues arising in collaborative law making across the UK after Brexit.
