We are pleased to offer a range of careers advice sessions. If you want to hear about training and working in environmental law, please register to hear from Paul Powlesland and Brontie Ansell, co-founders of Lawyers for Nature - details below.
Paul Powlesland is a barrister at Garden
Court Chambers. He works across civil and contractual matters, but has a
special interest in upholding the rights of environmental activists to protest
and protect the natural world. Paul is a co-founder of the non-profit CIC Lawyers for Nature through
which he and others provide strategic legal research and advice on the rights
of nature, and he regularly gives talks on the relationship between the law and
the natural world and what barristers and other lawyers should do in a time of
climate and ecological emergency.
Brontie Ansell is a senior lecturer

justice. She also works as a supervising solicitor in The Law Clinic at the university.
Brontie is a co-founder of Lawyers for Nature,

planning and judicial review, and use of the Localism Act to purchase community
assets.
The event will be a Zoom meeting for an informal session. Once our advisers have spoken there will be plenty of opportunity to ask any questions so please do come prepared. Registration is required; spaces are free but limited to 25 so book now! The sessions will be recorded and made available on the website so please don't worry if you are unable to join a particular event.
