Rewilding - the restoration of nature to an uncultivated state; far-flung theory or practical reality? Join us at the spectacular Hardwick Hall Hotel for the first in a series of events focused on rewilding our natural environment. In this introductory session, we’ll explain an overview of the rewards of rewilding, as well as explore the legal, scientific and practical underpinnings of the practice with leading industry experts. This event will be on Friday 23 March and run from 1pm until 4pm. Following the presentations, delegates are invited to network in the natural forest grounds of Hardwick Hall on a guided netwalk

Theme: Enforcement Undertakings and Sentencing Guidelines - held in conjunction with the North East Regulatory Lawyers (NERL).
Speakers: Environment Agency, New Park Court Chambers
We had two great speakers lined up. Firstly a representative from the Environment Agency discussed enforcement undertakings, their experiences of them and some tips as to best practice. In addition, Counsel, Nick de la Poer from New Park Court Chambers analysed the scope and effect of the current sentencing guidelines in environmental cases, examining a number of recent cases and focussing on lessons to be learned.
