This tour involves a fascinating overview of the history of the Distillery as well as an introduction to the Plymouth Gin distillation process and the botanicals which are used.  Visitors to Plymouth Gin also participate in a short gin tasting.

This option requires a moderate level of fitness, and it follows a route from the waterfront to the City Centre, via Plymouth Hoe, where you can  gaze out onto the historic Plymouth Sound. Your guide will recount tales of the voyagers that settled Australia, colonised New Zealand, and mapped the Pacific while taking you through this incredible city. Prepare to learn about groundbreaking discoveries that changed our understanding of the world and see other fascinating monuments, including perhaps the  world’s most important lighthouse.

New, one hour, Mayflower Heritage and Plymouth Harbour Cruise departs at 3:30pm from The Barbican Landing Stage, adjacent to the Mayflower Steps, Plymouth. Commemorating the 400th anniversary of this momentous journey, we set sail from where the Pilgrims departed, with informative commentary of the voyage and those on board. We then continue along the scenic River Tamar, to learn more about the rich history of Plymouth and its links to the US. From the Pilgrims of 1620 to the present day, we journey on to the Royal Naval Dockyard, where mighty warships and submarines await.
