Why become a member?
Let some of our current members tell you why they joined UKELA and the benefits it has brought them.
My first exposure to UKELA was at University. It has and continues to provide a unique platform to meet and engage with a wide variety of people, all with a common interest! UKELA has without doubt had a huge influence not only on my decision to become an environmental lawyer but also on my career to date. Thank you UKELA.
Paul Davies, Partner at Latham & Watkins
Since my days as a student, UKELA has provided me with valuable and up-to-date information on environmental law, with thought-provoking events and excellent networking opportunities. I firmly believe that this placed me in a stronger position to pursue my dream of being an environmental lawyer. Now that I am, it’s great that my membership gives me the chance to continue learning about new and interesting developments beyond my own specialism.
Heather Hamilton, Government lawyer
I have been a member of UKELA since starting as a trainee solicitor. Through its conferences and seminars, I have met some wonderful people and gained a much broader understanding of the breadth of depth of environmental law in the UK and on an international basis than I could ever have obtained from any other source, and this has given me some very important insights that I have used in the development of my own environmental law practice.
Simon Tilling, Partner at Burges Salmon
