UKELA Scotland Annual conference
Scotland's annual conference 2020 will be held on Thursday 24th September. It will be held online. We are currently pulling together an exciting programme of speakers and presentations. Bookings will open shortly. The conference will be free for UKELA members. Non-members will be asked to pay a modest fee, which will include free annual membership for the remainder of 2020.
Events Coming Up
Scottish Government consultation on Environmental Principles and Governance - half day seminar in January 2019. Hosted by the University of Edinburgh, this event brought together an impressive speaker line up from academia, legal practice, government and the third sector to discuss the government consultation and UKELA's response to it.
The committee organises a Scottish conference annually, which updates delegates on the big issues across Scotland in the year, whilst looking forward to what's on the horizon.
Other events have included a seminar on 21st Century Environmental Regulation in Scotland and One Planet Prosperity - Challenges, Opportunities and Innovation. In the run up to the EU referendum, members discussed what environmental law – and in particular climate change law – might be like in Scotland.
