We are delighted to have Tim Mould KC and Alex Shattock from Landmark Chambers joining us.

Tim Mould KC specialises in planning, environment and local government law. Since 1989, he has had a mixed practice of court, tribunal, parliamentary and inquiry advocacy and advisory work. Before silk (2006), he was on the Treasury A Panel for 5 years. His environmental cases include Evans v Basingstoke Council (2013), HS2 Action Alliance v Transport Secretary (2014), River Faughan Anglers v United Kingdom (2021), Richards v Environment Agency (2022) and Wyatt v Fareham BC (2022). In recent years Tim has concentrated on railway projects - Crossrail, HS2, East/West Rail and the Trans Pennine Route Upgrade.

Alex Shattock is a junior tenant at Landmark Chambers. He has acted for claimants in a number of environmental challenges including the Cumbria coal mine case, the SEA challenge to Class E permitted development rights, the challenge to the Bibby Stockholm asylum barge (EIA), and various challenges to fossil fuel projects. He does a lot of work for green NGOs and protest groups. He was called to the Bar in 2018.

Is there something you've always wanted to ask about working in environmental law to our two participants? If so, please do send your questions by Friday 5  January to [email protected] or via our social media channels on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.

The chat will be followed by drinks and canapes.
