Briefing on the first major Parliamentary report on noise in 30 years

John Stewart,chairman of the  United Kingdom Noise Association (UKNA), will present a paper on the recently published report of the House of Lords Select Committee on Science and Technology on artificial light and noise. John gave evidence to the Committee. The Report is the first major Parliamentary report on noise in over thirty years.

 

Meet our speaker

John Stewart is chair of the UK Noise Association. He has been in the transport field for 40 years and has worked on noise issues for 25 years. He is the main author of Why Noise Matters, published by Earthscan in 2011. Currently he also chairs the Campaign for Better Transport. He is a member of the EU's Noise Expert Group.
