Law and Your Environment

UKELA is the UK's foremost membership organisation working to improve understanding and awareness of environmental law, and to make the law work for a better environment. Its members - including lawyers and non-lawyers from across the private, public and voluntary sectors - are involved in the practice, study and formulation of environmental law across the UK and EU. What Environmental Challenges face the Coalition Government?

What does the Coalition Government have planned for the environment? What are the challenges ahead? Our post election seminar on September 16th 2010 is not to be missed. Chaired by Nicholas Schoon, editor of ENDS, and featuring Tom Burke, Caroline Lucas MP and Lord Colin Boyd QC.


Wild Law Workshop

The theme for the 2010 workshop on 24-26 September is: "Wild Law and Our Habitat: from Resource to Relationship". The setting is the beautiful Lee Valley Country Park just north of London and there is a great programme of speakers and discussion.


Waste Law and Regulation in Northern Ireland - seminar

Special half day event in Belfast, focusing on Waste, for environmental lawyers, government advisers, NGOs, academics, local authorities, business and students. October 12th pm. Speakers include the Chief Executive of the NI Environment Agency.
